Having sat down on Saturday November 13 with a glass of wine to watch celebrities entertain me with their dancing skills in a show called 'Strictly come dancing' I was moved to tears at an outstanding performance by a deaf celebrity 'Rose Ayling-Ellis' and her professional dance coach 'Giovanni Pernice'. The dance they were performing was what's called 'The couple's choice' and wow what a super choice. The Couple's choice allows the contestants to play to their strengths and tell a story. The dance they performed told a joyful story with an exceptional surprise twist, Rose covered Giovanni's ears, the soundtrack stopped and the dance continued with the power of silence, Rose and Giovanni smiling broadly at each other communicated the joy of the silence which is a barrier to nothing!

I've long been a fan of the Simon and Garfunkel song 'Sound of Silence' and have appreciated listening to it frequently over many years. My appreciation of the song grew when I was introduced to a cover of the song by Disturbed. Their rendition adds a power that compliments to beautifully crafted lyrics.
